The Labour Exchange is a long-standing, well-respected, family-owned business of 30 years and we are looking for a People & Logistics Manager to lead the Operations Team. This is an exciting senior-level role, where you will be working with a diverse range of people, where each day is different, and your passion for making a real difference gets you up in the morning.  The core responsibility of this role is to plan, coordinate and execute the daily dispatch of human resources to clients' projects; and to develop and maintain positive and collaborative client partnerships across the organization. You will also have some direct reports to manage. Key Responsibilities: Logistics planning & execution Orchestrate the delivery and transportation of workers to meet client demands. Ensure all workers are suitable for the assignments and have the correct equipment when dispatched to clients. Meet all Health & Safety obligations. Strategy, planning, and reporting Contribute to the business strategy by assisting leaders and the Sales department to forecast labour requirements, identify opportunities, and prioritise client needs. Communicate and work with the Account Managers to achieve daily tasks and challenges. Prepare daily reports and notes to ensure a smooth hand-over to the afternoon Operations team. Record, assess, and analyse daily data to produce productive, long-lasting solutions. Leadership & management Role model the business values and behaviours. Help manage client and workforce relationships. Manage and help grow your direct reports. Proactively respond to and resolve complaints, issues, and queries from clients and workers. Counter, Transport and Stock Management Managing the issuing of PPE, Hop cards and tools to workers.  Fielding worker enquiries and directing to appropriate departments when necessary.  Ensure the transport vehicle fleet are maintained and road worthy. Mange the bookings of all vehicle repair and services. Oversee the replacement and repair of tools and equipment. Managing stocktake, reconciliation and ordering of PPE.  Maintaining and building of relationships with suppliers.  Key Skills: Must have proven leadership, planning, and coordination experience. Understanding of Construction and similar sectors would be an advantage (however, not essential) Microsoft and Excel intermediate level is required and be willing to adopt new technologies. CRM and record-keeping are key. Soft skills are essential. Communication skills are essential. Must be able to work in a team environment or autonomously. You must be able to work some weekends.
