Details of the offer

Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment)Note for applying: our ATS does not integrate natively with Seek, so please apply through the link provided - not through Seek. Thank you!About usPaySauce has been cooking up awesome payroll since 2015. We started off small but have been growing fast - we've moved from start up to scale up and have more and more customers learning to love the Sauce! With our clever platform and sharp eye for security, compliance and ease of use, we make it easy for employers to manage the human side of business - from contracts to digital timesheets, payroll, banking and filing. We love payroll and people, and we're revolutionising the way they are looked after: we really care about helping both employers and employees by making the tough things simple and letting them focus on the things that matter. Our goal? Effortless yet flexible. Clever solutions that are intuitive to use and make payroll a beautiful experience.About the roleThis is a unique opportunity for someone who is a capable and independent P&C or PX contributor to take on the lead role within the function. We're about 50 staff right now, with most staff based in HQ and others working remotely. You'll report to our current Chief People Officer, but due to some organisational change, they no longer spend 100% of their time on People activities and instead we'll be looking to you to lead this work. You'll take on all day-to-day activities relating to our people (the PayForce), but you'll still have an experienced person to call on when needed. You'll ensure modern practices in People and Culture/People Experience, including:remuneration and rewardstalent management/performance managementhealth and safety, wellbeinggeneral people opsYou're empowered to deliver people first programs that both nurture PaySauce culture and help us reach our goals. You're a business partner to our people managers, helping them to succeed by taking a proactive support approach rather than a reactive one. This role covers all aspects of PX work, with support as needed from senior staff. This really is a unique opportunity: these roles don't come about often. Are you currently working in a team where you feel like you would revolutionise the process and practices if you had your way? Have you ever thought 'if it were up to me, I would do that differently?' Here's your chance to own our PX function. We've already got a great HRIS (HiBob) and the building blocks are here for you to take ownership of the function in line with our values. We're a publicly listed organisation trading on the NZX, so you'll get to learn about what that means within an organisation and how we need to manage that from a people & policies perspective. We have an employee share scheme that you'll be invited to participate in (it is part of our base rem) as well as learn how to administer this (with support of our CFO & CPO).Even more special is that because we are a business that sells a payroll product, we spend a lot of time working with employers and their employment requirements. There's scope here for you to spend time working with Product, Support & Marketing functions to contribute to our services and how we support employers: supporting our wider core business. This is not a role where HR is sidelined and considered a corporate service that only faces internally - there's some really cool stuff for you to get involved in to share your PX expertise to employers around Aotearoa.About youWe're not going to specify a certain number of years experience, but it is important that you're experienced enough to be independent once you're familiar with how we operate. That isn't to say you won't have support, and we do have existing frameworks in place you'd need to operate within, but you're capable most of the time with leading the work yourself. If you're familiar with the HRNZ capability framework, you'd mostly sit around designing/leading.We're a SaaS business - familiarity working within a tech business is preferred but not essential. We have just as many staff working in the wider service as we do working in Product Development, so you should be comfortable working with and designing experiences that work for a range of staff. As we scale up, there's elements of being a small, nimble business that we want to keep. If you like designing lots of forms for people to fill in to receive HR services, this probably isn't the role for you! That said, there are areas where we need to become more disciplined, so you'll understand the balance of getting things done that meet requirements but also retain a good experience for the business. Why you'll love working at PaySauceLife is good here with the PayForce. We take care of each other as much as we do our customers: we're built on being empathetic, kind, and people first. We live by our values - they aren't just words on a page to us, they are what we live and breathe. We're straight up and take our mission seriously, but we have fun along the way! We're committed to supporting your development and ensuring you feel fulfilled and happy at work. We're dedicated to ensuring  everyone feels valued and has a contribution to make to PaySauce's (very bright) future. You'll get health insurance, extra leave if you're becoming a parent and an invitation to join our employee share scheme. You can ditch the formal office wear - we're pretty laid back, and the office is fun, friendly and close to shops and cafes. Most importantly, you'll have an awesome supportive crew around you in a company that's really going places.Want to apply? We know that taking on a P&C or PX role is hugely dependent on if we share the same values about people and their experience within the organisation. As part of your application, please submit a cover letter (we promise, we absolutely are reading them - no AI filtering in an ATS here!) to tell us:A phrase or motto that you think summarises your approach to PX/P&C4-5 values that you think are really important in designing people experience, and how you live/work by thoseWe really genuinely are excited to receive your application - we can't wait to hear from you!Applications will close on 19th April, but we're keen to move fast - we may start interviewing before applications close, so we recommend submitting your application early. Please apply through our job application form here, not through Seek: https://www.paysauce.com/careers/apply/Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
