People and Professional Development Lead, Directorate of Patient and Whaanau Experience Health New Zealand - Counties Manukau District serves a unique and diverse community. We're the largest employer in South Auckland employing over 9200, amazing staff spread across 23 different sites, operated by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand . We offer secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services for the population of Counties Manukau - the area that stretches from Otahuhu to Port Waikato.
About the Opportunity: Based at Middlemore Hospital, The People and Professional Development Lead will lead and manage the People and Professional Development team to deliver strategically aligned, patient-centred, development activities across the health system that provide a demonstrable impact on the ability of staff to perform to the highest level.
Reporting to the Chief Nurse and Director of Patient and Whaanau Experience, you will provide leadership, advice and guidance on a range of professional development, and learning and development interventions in order to add value to the organisation and improve services for patients and their family/whaanau. This is a leadership position with strong linkage to internal and external professional leaders
About You: With exceptional leadership skills, a good understanding of professional development requirements and solutions, and significant experience working in a large, complex, multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse organisation, you will be values driven and have demonstrable experience in leading and embedding a culture of transformational change.
