We are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to provide dedicated support in the remediation phase of our Holidays Act project at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand (Mid Central). This is a fixed term position until mid 2025. The hours are flexible and could be full time or part time with the option to WFH and in the office.

The successful candidate will ensure that remediation payments are processed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with approved calculations. Additionally, they will provide support to employees, both current and former, regarding queries related to Holidays Act compliance and remediation payments. This role will involve providing payroll expertise and support to the payroll team, undertaking necessary payroll tasks associated with the project, and contributing to the overall success of the remediation efforts.

Skills we are looking for:

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
Sound understanding of all current pieces of legislation relating to payroll, including but not limited to, Holidays Act 2003, Wages Protection Act, Parental Leave Act, Kiwisaver Act4+ years payroll experience in payroll and/or HR servicesDemonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer serviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamHow to Apply:If you are passionate about payroll compliance and eager to contribute to a dynamic team during a critical project phase, we encourage you to apply.
