In the role, you will undertake the daily payroll operations and drive the strategic objectives of the payroll systems. Identify and carry out the intent of payroll procedures including statutory and tax requirements. Conducts payroll reconciliations. Resolves problems by identifying issues, analyzing information and communicating solutionsDocumentation and Reporting: Manages the payroll data for Finance, such as cost centre management and general ledger data. Supports process excellence; evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiencies. Recommends and implements procedure changes. Documents internal policies and procedures and ensures compliance.Stakeholder management: Liaises closely with supervisors, managers, and external payroll vendors to establish and implement administrative policies, procedures, and processesVendor management: Ensures appropriate resource allocation to perform and ensure high quality of service, involving the management of payroll providers (in-house and/or out-sourced)Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero-harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Qualification in Payroll Services and or relevant payroll experience, including processing a standalone payroll (either in-house or outsourced).Knowledge of payroll and tax processes for the Philippines (mandatory), Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia (preferred but not essential).Payroll vendor/system knowledge: iChris/Frontier, ADP and HR System knowledge: WorkdayStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical data easily and succinctly.Maintain engagement with internal and/or external customers to improve service or productsFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
