Payroll Coordinator

Payroll Coordinator
Company:

Mt Ruapehu

Details of the offer

We are looking for a proactive payroll coordinator to join the finance team at Mt Ruapehu. Reporting to the Accountant, you will be the primary contact for all things payroll, managing the process from onboarding to final releases for all staff.
Working at Mt Ruapehu, you\'ll be surrounded by like-minded people who are flexible, willing to have a crack where needed, work hard and then ski/ride even harder!
Everyone here shares a passion for the mountain and the surrounding region because of the endless possibilities for adventure. Whether it\'s because you love nature, the truly unique world heritage area, or the obvious draw card of skiing/riding the volcano, there are opportunities for real fun at every turn.
Each year our team grows over winter and we are looking for someone that can hit the ground running, has great attention to detail and can prioritise their time in line with the changing nature of our business.
THE DAY TO DAY
Providing support to Team Leaders and Managers across both ski areas, you will be responsible for completing all payroll activities specific to wages, salaries and contractors. This will include:

Payroll processing and reporting including time and attendance reporting and year end requirements
Responding to payroll queries
Preparing direct credit schedules, payslips, ACC claims and arranging disbursement of deductions
Reconciling and preparing PAYE returns
Updating and maintaining employee information in the payroll system
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
Working within the finance team, you will bring excellent administration and numeracy skills. We are also looking for someone with:
Previous experience with payroll software, PayGlobal an advantage
Knowledge and understanding of wages law and the Holidays Act 2003
Excellent people skills and the ability to adjust to a range of communication styles
The ability to manage your own time, work autonomously and manage a number of projects
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to look for solutions and problem solve

If you have a commitment to being excellent; are prepared to have a crack; are happily immersed in an environment where everyone looks out for each other and loves the customer, this may just be the role for you.
With winter fast approaching we\'re looking to fill this role quickly and will be reviewing applications as they arrive into the inbox. So if you have a passion for winter and skiing/riding is your thing, don\'t delay and we\'d love to hear what you can bring to the team.
