About the Role
We are looking for someone to provide safe, quality care for children outside of school hours. You will implement interesting, safe and fun learning activities for the children.
This is a permanent role working Monday - Friday 7.00am – 8.00am and 2.30pm – 6.00pm and in the holidays Monday – Friday 7.00am – 6.00pm. You will be based at Lynmore Primary School in Rotorua.
Skills and Experience
Empathy for children
Experience working with children e.g. babysitting, coaching
General work experience covering lines of responsibility and work ethics
Excellent communication skills: Expresses ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing. Excels in face to face contact with customers and staff. Actively listens, drawing out information and checking understanding.
High work standards: Pays attention to detail and initiates self-checking procedures, ensures high levels of accuracy and consistent quality.
Continuous improvement: Has the ability and desire to keep skills up to date
Credibility and professional integrity: Ability to act in a manner that conveys high personal and professional standards, while engaging with a personable and approachable nature
Interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with customers from a diverse range of ages and cultures
Passion for working with people of all ages
Current first aid certificate
Drivers licence
