Currently as of today they have production of 35 hectares, along with development on going of 20 hectares. By the end of 2025 total production will approximately be around 55 hectares. Our client is a dedicated kiwifruit grower in the country (New Zealand). They have two different varieties of fruit, Gold (G3) and newly developed Ruby Red (red- 19) both varieties are highly valued licensed fruit under Zespri International. Yearly production trays currently total well over 260K looking to increase this number to half a million tray yearly by 2025. Job details Full-time (30-40 hours a week)Payrate $28.00 – $30.00ph Permanent This role is to take place over our three orchards in Keri Keri, Franklin district and Waikato. Reporting to the Orchard Manager you will be responsible for:*Ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.*Planning and ensuring sufficient allocation of Human Resources *Manage all personnel activities such as training and supervision *Organizing and controlling equipment and all other operating materials and resources are available for team members as and when required. *Monitor and supervise work performance standards of all staff are within the business requirements. *Follow programme to keep crops disease free and healthy including recording of spray programs. *Encouraging and motivating to ensure that all the staff are performing to the optimum level and meeting output requirements as per company standards. *Evaluating the performance of workers and developing new ideas. *Assist in the monitoring of annual production and targets.*Solve any problem or potential problems in your area of responsibility. *Providing feedback to the Manager about the performance of the workers and developing new ideas, when necessary.*Control, monitor, solve and update management on any losses, accident, costs, and any other issues on site.*Communicates clear, concise, and accurate information to staff*Ensure commitments with customers and other contractors are met.*Liaise with growers and landowner to ensure work by the employees is being delivered at a high standard and to sort out any potential or current issues with them.*Report back to Manager on daily output of staff and productivity resultSkills and Specification:*At least one year of Experience in supervisor role or proven experience running your own farm*Must have good leadership skills to supervise the staff.*Have reliable transport or be planning to relocate before starting the role*Able to work across all three regions for work with a week's notice.
