Orchard Manager

Khalsa Orchard Ltd owns and operates a number of kiwifruit orchards in the Bay Of Plenty region. We are looking for an experienced Orchard Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the our kiwifruit orchards. This is a hands-on role leading a small permanent work force, with additional seasonal staff employed as required during the year.
The person we are looking for will have the following attributes:
Strong attention to detail and record keeping excellent people management skills
An ability to work under pressure due to seasonal demands
An aptitude for working with and maintaining machinery
An excellent work ethic
An ability to work as part of a team and also show leadership
Previous relevant work experience within the kiwifruit industry at the management level
A relevant tertiary qualification would also be preferable
A strong focus on health & safety laws and regulations
Ability to work flexible hours
Salary range for this role will based on experience.
You must be able to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal record.
A clean New Zealand deriver's license will also be preferred.
