We have an opportunity available for an Oral Health Therapist to work as part of our professional and supportive Community Oral Health Service covering the Southern region which is bordered in the north by the Waitaki river and as far south as Bluff and from the east coast across to Queenstown in the west.We will support you into practice, ensuring you are comfortable and confident in your development as an Oral Health Therapist. Mo te turanga - About the role You will be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region; educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental disease. You will recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practice. You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki. We have the ability to support those training in the new Adult Scope of Practice.
