We're currently searching for a new Service Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Hamilton, New Zealand. The focus of this role is to engage internal business customers locally and team-wide proactively. By joining the Service Operations team, you'll be an internal customer champion for the business regarding all IT, property, and facility infrastructure inquiries, and will be a primary driver in leading other team members through general business processes. Timely and effective property, facility and ICT support will be required and will include the resolution of low-level ICT desktop enquiries and team member equipment provisioning, alongside general business infrastructure repairs and maintenance.
In this role, you'll be one of the first contact points for IT, property and facility inquiries and will focus on our Hamilton office. Alongside your day-to-day duties, your primary responsibility will be to ensure internal customer requirements are met, and all business policies, procedures, applicable standards and regulatory obligations are promoted and maintained team-wide.
As a Service Operations Specialist, we'll call on your unique talents, skills, expertise, and experience which would be ideal to include: Professional skills in Microsoft environments, along with Microsoft 365 experience An understanding of Apple and Linux operating systems and environments Experience in providing high levels of customer service Ability to understand and document complex processes – both software and human-driven Proficient written and verbal communication skills Ability to contribute towards Knowledge Base Articles Familiarity with managing property, facility, equipment, and appliances in a commercial environment Familiarity with legislation, standards, and business requirements for the local area We believe our ideal applicant will demonstrate the following attributes: A demonstrated work ethic Experience providing general property and facility support, including low-level ICT user support Professional skills in Windows desktop software Solid skills in written and verbal communication Effective time management skills and the ability to set and meet deadlines Familiarity with the tasks undertaken to support the effective planning and management of property, facility, and business equipment support An ability to work as a member of a high-output team with multiple deadlines What can this role offer you? As a team member of Best Practice Software and the Service Operations team, you'll have direct exposure to industry leaders who provide commercial support to our business locally and internationally. Our wider team also consists of professionals who manage large-scale Microsoft Entra deployment for multiple internal and external endpoints, and a range of development insights surrounding the suite of products Best Practice Software offers its customers. In addition, you will be directly involved with managing and provisioning facilities and equipment team-wide and will provide exposure to asset management, commercial budgeting, project management, corporate governance and policy creation.
