About The Role As the Operations Manager – South, you will be part of our Senior Leadership team, and your core role will be to lead and support our Southern region Operations & CX Managers, and to ensure all operations activity is accomplished in alignment with TotalEnergies New Zealand's (TENZ) strategic direction. The branch sites are located in New Plymouth, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin.  In this role, you would have the opportunity to: Develop and deliver detailed operational plans, contributing your strategic insights into strengthening and refining our branch operations. Provide exemplary leadership, training, and development to your team, empowering them to make confident, autonomous day-to-day decisions. Foster an environment of operational excellence and efficiency, ensuring all processes are followed and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Work with each Operations & CX Manager to create a service and delivery plan that ensures customer expectations are met and exceeded. Travel between branches in the Southern region, maintaining regular site presence, delivering hands-on leadership, and sharing best practices. Collaborate with the National Field Sales Manager and Operations Manager - North to ensure branch and business cohesion, working together as one team. What You Bring to the Table  Our ideal candidate willhave at least five years of proven experience in an operations management role with a focus on leadership and performance management, ideally in a similar or related industry. In addition to the above, we are looking for a candidate with: Proven experience utilising NetSuite, NetStock, or similar enterprise resource planning software. Demonstrated aptitude for working with stock and inventory management systems. Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities, with a focus on nurturing staff development and an environment of continuous improvement. Top-notch time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to analyse and interpret data, and distribute key learnings to a broad audience. A relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management is desirable, as is experience in planning and project management.
