Our people really know their stuff are passionate about what they do and have fun doing it Role The position is primarily responsible for delivering Microsoft Desktop Management while working with the wider team to support and maintain core infrastructure systems You will also have the opportunity to be involved in services and projects delivering leading edge technologies to internal and external customers In addition to this you must be a team player who is willing to help out others within the business including within the IT function such as engineering teams service desk Key tasks can include Systems Management Ensure that desktop procurement deployment performance and reliability is maintained within agreed service levels Foster and implement process improvement methodologies to continually enhance desktop support performance Identify ways of improving desktop delivery and operational efficiency and effectiveness Test new technologies as required Liaise with vendors as requested needed for service matters Maintain accurate log entries of faults with resolution and contact details Perform Installation and maintenance of assigned environments including hardware and software upgrades Software upgrades to be performed in line with user and project requirements and subject to licensing agreements Lead troubleshoot and problem management in end user environments Stay current with relevant technology Assist with server infrastructure provisioning including configuration and deployment Monitor and support infrastructure components software and hardware for which responsibility has been assigned Author system documentation such as environment diagrams installation configuration documents and release notes Manage version firmware and patch updates for end user environments Assist in managing and delivering services to Data Centre environments Service Management Provide online phone and facetoface technical support to users regarding Desktop issues Provide the business with a professional service by ensuring requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided Back up and support the Service Desk as required Provide an effective interface between users and service providers supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to procedures Develop appropriate relationships with customers internal and external to ensure that they have confidence in Foster Moores IT Operations ability to deliver and to ensure that matters of escalation are dealt with quickly and effectively Ensure technical queries not progressing are escalated to Systems Engineers according to established procedures You must have 3 5 years experience in IT Support Relevant tertiary qualification Microsoft suite capability Windows OS Office 365 Active Directory Exchange Demonstrable capability in Microsoft Office applications Desktop Printer and peripheral procurement deployment installation and configuration Excellent diagnostic and problemsolving ability Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Customer focused ideally with previous experience in a customer support role Be a solid contributor in a team environment Excellent organisational verbal and written communications skills First level network support patching and connectivity troubleshooting Writing technical and training documents capability Ability to liaise between vendors and business users Adaptable and flexible Advantageous if you have the following Windows Server certification ideal Apple support experience Networking skills firewalls routers and switches primarily Fortinet but CCNA bonus VMware or other hypervisor experience AWS or Azure exposure If you think you tick all the boxes go ahead
