The role of Operations Controller is a hands-on role, working closely with the Branch Manager and operations team to maintain a high level of performance across the Central Otago region. Working on both the fleet management and distribution parts of our business, you will often be working in the depot or on the road to ensure we are meeting and exceeding our service standards.
Key responsibilities:
Recruitment, rostering and supervision of operations staff Focus on fleet performance and courier run structures Collaborating with Branch Manager on strategy and KPI reporting Overview of health and safety policies and processes Being able to deliver is our culture and to fit in you'll need to demonstrate the following key attributes: Proven experience and expertise in the freight and logistics industries Sound NZ geographical knowledge Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Full driver license and ability to drive a van confidently Some heavy lifting (up to 25KG) is required Tightknit and supportive team culture Career development opportunities with the Freightways group If the above sounds like you, apply here now!
