To help us with this, we are searching for an Operational Risk and Financial Crime Manager to join our team What you'll be busy with: Leading and supporting a small team, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure team members thrive and key deliverables are achieved. Delivering the Operational Risk and Financial Crime Management frameworks to promote and support a strong risk culture across the Bank which includes oversight, management of and monitoring of Physical Security and Fraud.  As the 'AML Officer', responsible for the development, maintenance, implementation, and oversight of banks AML / CFT risk assessment, AML / CFT "risk based' programme through a sound understanding of the key risks faced by the business. Contributing to the implementation of the Group Risk Management Framework to support an uplift in overall risk maturity to support the Board, risk governance committees, and senior management in fulfilling their responsibilities in relation to risk management. Responsible for theestablishment and ongoing operations of a Group fraud strategy and framework toreflect SBS priorities ensuring regular review to identify and implementprocess improvements What you'll bring: Extensive experience in the management andoversight of AML/CFT Compliance programme, Operational Risk or Fraud environmentwithin the NZ Banking Industry. Specific knowledge of the required legislationand regulation of the NZ financial services industry. Experience working in leading changeinitiatives, implementing risk frameworks, standards, policies, proceduresand programmes. Strong communication skills with provenability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders of all levels within anorganisation to achieve business objectives. Abilityto handle sensitive information with utmost confidence and integrity, Provenexperience managing, building, motivating, inspiring and leadingsuccessful teams. You will be comfortable with presenting and contributing to the riskgovernance committees today and tomorrow enjoy pulling up your sleeves to lenda hand within the team, if needed.
