We are on the hunt for an experienced office assistant in our busy manufacturing plant. We are the manufacturers of a stone and granite benchtops with over 10 years in business and we are looking for an experienced hands-on person, who can help us in the office and the factory.
The job is not limited to the office duties, as help at the back factory is required from time to time, therefore you have to be quite fit and not afraid to lift heavy things or feel comfortable operating the machinery and equipment. This role has great potential in terms of career development and future growth. The right person will be trained and offered a management role, looking after the company operation.Some of the duties include: Managing the customer database Making sure all email and correspondence is answered and up-to-date Introduce clients to the company products/services Answering phone calls /follow up the client’s inquiries Processing payroll for a small team Overseeing the company operation and assisting the owner in day-to-day duties Taking measurements at client’s houses Operating the CNC machine (training will be provided) To be successful you need to have the following: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Solid 2 years of experience in assistant / office admin role Physically fit as some lifting is required Excellent Excel knowledge Great phone manner to deal with our customers, suppliers and staff Accuracy with figures. A keen eye for detail Efficient time management skills Valid NZ drivers license Basic accounting and legislative knowledge
This is a hands-on role and will suit someone who is not afraid to roll up the sleeves and start working right away. You will be responsible for a variety of things and therefore should not be afraid to learn new things. The training and career opportunity will be offered to the right person.
