This is a close-knit team in which you will be working with the external accountant and a Part-time CFO whilst supporting the CEO, taking ownership of the day-to-day financial operations which require meticulous attention to detail across a range of transactional duties (particularly billing), while supporting the wider business (NZ & AUS), giving you the chance to use your initiative and own tasks from start to finish in a key role.

The Role
You will take ownership of several transactional duties such as day-to-day and monthly reconciliations, invoicing, billing, maintaining a chart of accounts, and GST returns (bi-monthly). Duties include:
Complete ownership and responsibility for billing/invoicingAssisting the CFO with financial reportingFinancial cost analysis including pricing and margins across all products and services including managing FX (USD and AUD)Assisting with claiming of GST, filing bi-monthly GST and checking the GST audit reportsSupporting clients and internal staff on rules around billable vs non-billable support and ensuring this is invoiced to clients correctly using Minute DockAssisting with project pricing/pricing for RFPsOffice Manager: insurance, office maintenance, stationery, cleaning, etc.Managing payroll with PaymasterPreparing payments in ANZ Direct for approvalAdditional business support duties include:
Managing our insurance renewals and filing of certificates, staff privacy training and filing of certificates, courier and NZ Post accounts, managing stationery suppliesSales support: Support as required by drafting customer contracts, sending trial equipment, and chasing them for returnAssisting the CEO as required with tasks such as, but not limited to; organizing meetings, booking travel, and assisting with internal communications. Your Profile 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to the above dutiesWithin a range of tasks (ideally experience in a multifaceted role)Competent user of Xero and strong Excel skills (Formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)Enjoy working flexibly in a positive work environment / being hands-on with ad hoc duties as they ariseMust have work to Residency/ability to work Permanently within NZFor more information, please contact Louis Bentley on 022 4269 569 or apply via the link below.
