ABOUT THE ROLE
This company is after a very experienced Infrastructure Solution Designer to join a specialised team working on a specific data migration to bring their applications and platforms into their own facilities.
DUTIES
•Production of high level and detailed design
•Working with 3rd party vendors and system integrators
•Completion of solution option assesments with Architects
•Elaboration of scope
•Working with delivery teams to assess delivery options and inform planning
•Identification of security and technology risks
•Development of bills of materials
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
•10+ years experience on infrastructure and design in large corporate environments
•Outstanding attention to detail, accurate, objective and factual
•Ability to translate complex technical matters in terms that are meaningful to others
•Knwoledge of operational acceptance testing practices and service transition activities to bring systems into live service
The successful candidate will be required to produce designs that contemplate:
Placement of services within an Internet facing perimeter
Placement of services within an internal data centre network
Definition of firewall and load balancer policy
Vmware platform design, vSphere 6.5 and higher
Windows and RHEL platform design
RedHat Openshift Container Platform
Identity and access management
Re-use of existing deployment patterns where possible
