Job Description
Our Auckland Water team is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute in the design of projects such as large municipal wastewater treatment plants, commercial onsite treatment systems, community water treatment plants, and industrial trade waste treatment systems. Joining Mott MacDonald will provide you with exciting opportunities to work alongside industry-leading professionals on an exciting range of water supply, wastewater and sludge projects.
Your precise duties and responsibilities will vary depending on your level of experience. We are open to people who are relatively new to their career in mechanical engineering or a person who has completed their graduate program and is looking for the next step in their career. You will ideally possess the following attributes:
• 2 to 6+ years’ experience in working on water/wastewater/industrial treatment projects or other relevant industries
• Detailed mechanical engineering design experience; of new and existing water and wastewater treatment plants
• A mechanical engineering degree
• Ideally a Chartered Engineer (or working towards Chartership)
• A proactive approach to design, whilst seeking innovation to drive value
• Proven client liaison and communication skills
• Great team working ethos both internally and collaboratively with our clients and supply chainJob Profile
