Labtests are looking to appoint a 2IC / Dispatch Coordinator within the Logistics team. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will assist to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Logistics Department. In addition to this you will also provide daily despatch services to the Courier Team.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with re-evaluation of SOP's to ensure that best service is being provided to internal and external customers
Following up on missing samples - this may involve going into collection centres
Assisting in resolving complaints from external customers by investigating issues and reporting on outcomes
Monitoring movement of outgoing stores deliveries / paper test results / internal mail, to ensure delivery in a timely manner. Liaising with stores / logistics admin staff if any issues arise
Day to day supervision and leadership of the Stores and dispatch employees
Co-ordinate staff rosters
Assisting with the recruitment of new staff
Ensure all staff are adequately trained, so that they are able to perform their duties and responsibilities to the required standards
Monitoring courier runs to ensure samples are delivered in a timely manner. Reassign work to other couriers if necessary
To be successful in this role you will have:
Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills and the ability to use these for coaching and mentoring of others
Understanding of the dispatch role at Labtests or other transport company
Ideally have previously held a senior position within the team which included responsibility for training of staff
Ability to multi task and support multiple people
Professional attitude and approach to work
High level of attention to detail
Excellent computer skills and knowledge especially with Microsoft packages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an excellent command of the English language
Previous experience in a high pressure environment
Knowledge of or previous experience working in the medical industry or a laboratory environment desirable but not essential
Whilst a tertiary qualification in contact centre operations, customer services or similar would be a definite advantage, previous experience in relevant roles will be considered.
