Occupational Therapist - Central Hawkes Bay at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay Success is not the work of one, but the work of many. The Community Allied Health Team in Central Hawkes Bay is looking for a community Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting a diverse and varied community. The role provides an opportunity to work with a community-based caseload and small inpatient ward in a supportive rural community team.

About you You will be a New Zealand registered occupational therapist who is able to work autonomously and collaboratively. You will have excellent clinical and problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients, whanau, health professionals and health agencies. You will be experienced in facilitating and prescribing complex adaptive equipment and environmental adaptations and provision of wheelchairs and seating requirements for patients.
EMS accreditation for Occupational Therapy in personal care and household management is essential. Accreditation in basic/complex housing modifications and level one wheeled mobility and postural management is preferred.
This position provides variety and the opportunity to develop not only occupational therapy specific skills, but also skills that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries by adopting an Inter professional approach.
