You will work within the Acute Occupational Therapy team based at Auckland City Hospital covering Cardiovascular clinical area/s.
Cardiovascular department serves our local population in Auckland and the greater northern region. Services include cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, vascular surgery and specialist intensive care for both cardiothoracic and vascular patients. You will provide patients with valuable Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions and facilitate complex discharge planning in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, working closely together to ensure best outcomes for our patient care needs.
Our occupational therapy service provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to our patients in various clinical specialities across the hospitalCollaborate with patients and the multidisciplinary team providing specialist occupational therapy assessment and interventionsMeaningful support and orientation to your practice contexts with robust opportunities for critical reflection on practice, including peer review and professional supervisionWork alongside your wider Allied Health colleagues using an interdisciplinary model to deliver high quality and effective servicesOn the job training with continuous improvement and development opportunities including a well-established in-service training programmeYou will join an excellent team of Allied Health practitioners to gain skills and competency in occupation-centered assessment and complex discharge planning. As an Ideal candidate , you will:
