Occupational Therapist - Auckland Intensive Service Occupational Therapist – Neurological Rehabilitation Full-time Position Auckland - Ranui Personal and Professional Development Dynamic Inter-Professional Team Are you passionate about supportingclients who have sustained a brain injury to regain independence? ABI Rehabilitationhas an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist withan interest in brain injury and experience in rehabilitation to join ourprogressive inter-professional team in the Intensive rehabilitation service. This role will involve providing occupationaltherapy services within our inpatient rehabilitation service from the immediatepost-acute phase through to community re-integration. You will be working with a team of OccupationalTherapists (OTs and OT Assistants) within an interdisciplinary team.

Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated occupationaltherapist with excellent communication skills, sound knowledge and strongclinical reasoning skills with an enthusiasm for learning, and a demonstratedtrack record in teamwork. A minimumof two (2) years clinical experience in neuro rehabilitation is preferrable,however, open to all candidates based on experience.
The caseload is varied and key areas include:
Cognitive assessment and rehabilitation Functional assessment Development and progression of rehabilitationtreatment plans Individual and group intervention Assessment and trial of equipment includingwheelchairs and seating Education of clients and families/whanau Community reintegration and managing graduated returnto home We can offer excellentopportunities for professional development within a supportive and cohesive interdisciplinaryteam environment. Regular supervision and in-service training will be provided. Previous experience in acquired brain injuryrehabilitation is highly preferred.
