As part of our commitment to health and wellbeing we require an Occupational Health Nurse to support our Rangitikei plant, through the implementation of health initiatives to help reduce workplace injuries and improve rehabilitation outcomes.
The role will be between 30-40 hours per week, with some flexibility required as you may need to work at least one afternoon/evening per week. ANZCO Foods Rangitikei is based between Bulls and Marton in the Manawatu.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Monitoring, recording and reporting on the physical health and wellbeing of ANZCO Foods Rangitikei employees
Complete pre-employment medicals, including drug-and alcohol screening, in accordance with the ANZCO recruitment policy and the requirements of the company; report the results to the recruiting team.
Effective health monitoring of employees for agreed health concerns on a systematic basis. These processes include hearing tests, eye tests and lung functions but may include additional areas from time to time
Ensuring employees have appropriate access to health care and advice if they become ill or are injured at work
Promoting positive attitudes to safety and health to ANZCO Foods Rangitikei employees
Working closely with individuals through early interventions to achieve best possible return to work outcomes for injured employees
Developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with ANZCO management, staff, regulatory bodies and service providers
Maintaining and developing individual skill levels and effectiveness
Ensure that procedures detailed in the ANZCO Drug and Alcohol programme are adhered to in the operation of the programme on site at Rangitikei
Assisting the National Injury Management Advisor - entering claims and needs assessment lodgements, staff rehabilitation and return to work plans
If you hold a current Occupational Health Nurse Qualification, have at least two years injury & rehabilitation management experience and a knowledge of injury prevention we would like to hear from you.
