Newmarket, AucklandWe currently have an opportunity for 1 x Intermediate and 1 x Senior UX Designer to join the Vista team, you will have a significant impact on Vista’s digital experience working with teams to bring end-to-end experiences to customers across the Vista ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity to understand the customer and the product, love to visualise an experience in the abstract, dive into customer research and data, break down complex use cases, and then drive the vision into product deliverables that masterfully combine user experience and design.Your initiative and high attention to detail will be an asset to the team who love to have fun but also strive to deliver results.Requirements:3+ years experience (Intermediate role) and 5+ years (Senior role) delivering experience design solutions as a UX designer, information architect, or interaction designer.Ability to contribute to the strategic development of products from a design and user centric perspective.Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.High Proficiency designing and prototyping with a variety of tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure and Adobe software.An online portfolio and samples of work demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centred design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices.Bachelor's degree or higher in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.Responsibilities :Practice user-centred design by leading and participating in user research and incorporating data, customer feedback, and technical constraints/opportunities.Quickly and thoroughly create diagrams, wireframes, detailed visual mock-ups and prototypes to communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours.Create Personas, User Experience Maps, User Story Maps and other UCD outputsCollaborate with UX designers to evolve existing design patterns.Design the information architecture, interface, and interaction flow of our applications.Translate product strategy, customer insight, analytics and executive direction into successful design direction, frameworks, prototypes and released productDirect the visual design of our applications and influence design process and methodologiesFacilitate and prepare usability testing, stakeholder interviews, user interviews, observational research, and help with UX workshops.Present design work to the user experience team, product team, executives, and external partners for review and feedback.Help critique and guide designMentor and inspire the team in aspects and tools, design and UX practice.What you have:Experience in an agile/scrum environment.Proven experience leading and designing digital applications and responsive web apps.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.A capacity to own and drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks.Comfortable working independently with minimal directionDemonstrate an understanding of visual design hierarchy, typography, iconography and layout with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant and exceedingly usable layouts and interaction.
