Job Overview & Purpose:
The Product Manager reports to the Senior Product Manager. The role will primarily manage the Key Account Channel (KAS) channel. KAS is responsible for the development and growth of the indirect deposits via financial intermediaries (platforms primarily) through the Rabobank Online Savings (ROS) channel. KAS is also responsible for larger deposit only clients through Country Banking (deposits generally over $5m). The role will have close alignment to operations and compliance to provide assurance of onboarding and ongoing customer due diligence requirements are met.
The role will also perform product related tasks as directed by the Senior Product Manager. Working closely with key areas of the business (operations, IT, finance, marketing, risk, legal and compliance) it will provide ongoing management and monitoring (with a specific focus on Treating Clients Fairly). Working with the Senior Product Manager managing the current suite of deposit products and providing assurance of technical correctness of all customer facing and internal facing information. The role will have a specific focus on supporting product governance activities, development of new reports with the analytics team to provide assurance our deposit products are operating as intended and input to carry out product governance activities (including health checks). The role will provide direction to analytics teams to provide data to support any deposit remediation activity as part of a wider group in the bank who focus on this.
The Product Manager will work with the senior product manager to deliver to deposit targets for the bank and assist in pricing recommendations and monitoring activities across the portfolio.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Delivery of financial targets (deposit volumes, expenses, profit, balance sheet growth) in this segment
• In control of Deposit Products (specifically risk and compliance measures)
• Management of KAS related complaints
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

KAS

• Relationship management of deposit only clients ($5m plus) and intermediary deposits
• Provide deposit pricing quotes and advice to front line (when non-standard)
• Provide product approvals in line with delegation
• Maintenance of processes, authorised signatory lists and supporting documentation and forms for deposit only clients
• Oversight of operational functions for these clients providing assurance this is being done correctly and in a timely way. Follow up and escalate if completion of daily administrative tasks associated with managing the existing client portfolio are not fulfilled
• Development, deployment and ongoing management of external client communications for KAS customers
• Working closely with the Compliance, Operations and Operational Risk teams to provide assurance we have appropriate controls in place to manage specific risks/agreements associated with the platforms. Manage contracts/agreements with platforms for Rabobank
Understanding of local and global ALM/CFT legislation

Deposit Product

• Supporting the Senior Product Manager with any product initiatives as required
• Assist managing the current suite of Rabobank deposit products so we have technical correctness of all customer facing and internal facing information
• Be able to provide Client Committee cover as owner for ROS
• Provide input on Pricing recommendations
• Monitor and research market trends and sales potential to identify product development opportunities
• Co-development and review of business cases, marketing, finance and operations locally and globally
• Support all product governance activities for deposit, product monitoring including assisting with annual product health checks
• Support all product remediation activities for deposits
• Other duties as directed to support the Products and Deposits function.

Qualifications:
Essential:
§ Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

Desirable:
§ Preference for Financial, business, economics or other related undergraduate degree.
Experience:

• 5 years+ in the banking or financial services industries (shorter experience periods may be considered)
• Knowledge of New Zealand banking sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge:
• Understanding on systems and processes related to banking
• Demonstrate business acumen
• Continuously improve expert knowledge in own profession, while staying up to date with trends in the industry
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate high levels of initiative
• Ability to identify strategic opportunities and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes
