Nz: Intermediate Technical Writer – 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Auckland City, AucklandFull-time, TemporaryYou will be supporting cross-functional agile development units of designers, developers, business analysts and test analysts.The role involves a range of technical writing skills and responsibilities:Designing minimalist documentation to support new software featuresWriting and maintaining modular, single-source, documentation based on DITA principlesReviewing user interface text for clarity and localisabilityTerminology managementReviewing and publishing release notesWorking with content management tools to implement new documentation formatsRequirements:A degree or other industry-relevant qualification in the fields of language, communication, or I.T.3+ years of experience in a technical writing roleExcellent written communication skills in English, with a high command of spelling and an understanding of grammatical principlesExcellent attention to detailStrong interest in language and technical communicationA willingness to act on own initiative as well as being an effective team memberProven ability to effectively manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and to meet deadlinesAbility to develop and maintain good professional working relationships with people at all levels across the companyBenefits:We’ve built a team who love what they do and share a passion for great software and great movie experiences.
