Fund Manager * Partner with Aotearoa New Zealand NGOs to help people impacted by offshore disasters * Contribute to the New Zealand Government's response to humanitarian emergencies * Manage a portfolio of disaster-related response activities - Wellington based Lead the Ministry's engagement with Aotearoa New Zealand NGOs involved in international humanitarian action Korero mo te turanga - About the role You'll be the Fund Manager for our New Zealand Disaster Response Partnership (NZDRP). This means you'll manage the Ministry's mechanism for partnering with NGOs that deliver protection and assistance to communities in need of humanitarian assistance offshore. In this varied role you will: * Administer NZDRP contestable funding rounds * Manage NZDRP activities through the activity lifecycle * Develop and manage our humanitarian relationships with partner NGOs and the Council for International Development * Advise on NZDRP allocations and delivery, portfolio insights, and policy guidelines * Engage in knowledge sharing and collective learning opportunities with NGO partners. We expect to appoint around the midpoint of $103,143 negotiable depending on skills and experience. The total remuneration is inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. If you think you'd tick these boxes (or even most of them) we'd like to hear from you: * Minimum three years of experience managing projects in the Humanitarian and/or International Development sector, or equivalent experience in a different sector * Knowledge of grant or project management * Well developed written and oral communication skills * Solid numeracy skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel * Sound analytical skills, with an ability to track and analyse portfolio performance and benefits. Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Maori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Maori (the Maori worldview) into your work.
