Nursing - General Medical & Surgical (Healthcare & Medical)Awarua Whanau Services is a Kaupapa Maori service supporting patients and their Whanau (family) to achieve their well-being aspirations. We deliver Nurse Led Community Outreach clinics in Invercargill and across central southland for patients and their whanau (family).The RoleThe Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering our outreach clinics. Your clinical expertise and understanding of Maori models of care will be essential to building rapport with patients and their whanau (family). Your caring nature, encouragement, practical clinical support and health education knowledge will greatly assist patients and whanau (family) to achieve their well-being aspirations.You will naturally collaborate with a range of primary, secondary and community services to ensure the needs of the patient and their whanau can be supported and achieved. This is a great opportunity for a motivated health professional who wants to shape the way the service is delivered, enjoys working autonomously and within a team of health and allied professionals.The role is based in Invercargill and can be full time or hours negotiable.The ideal candidate will have the following:Registered Nurse Practitioner with a current NCNZ practicing certificate.Be an authorised prescriber, cervical screener, and able to deliver a range of medical interventions.Strong links and experience working in the community.Confidence to work independently, and comfortable within a team.Be able to demonstrate a high level of personal integrity.Full NZ driver's licenseWe will support you withclinical supervision and access to further training and development opportunities. To enable you to deliver clinics in community settings across the district you will be provided with a mobile phone, laptop, and access to a fleet vehicle.Awarua Whanau Services is committed to working with the community to achieve the best possible outcomes.
