The Opportunity Our general practices in central Wellington, Kapiti and the Wairarapa have opportunities for switched on and motivated experienced Nurse Practitioners either seeking locum or permanent roles As a Nurse Practitioner you: Provide primary care services to our patients. Oversee the treatment and care planning of patients with complex health problems, including assessment, diagnosis, and prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions. Share clinical knowledge with members of the clinical team. Manage medicine and prescribe. Refer patients as required. A successful applicant will have: A minimum of 3 years' experience as a primary care Nurse Practitioner A New Zealand Nursing Registration and Nurse Practitioner scope issued by New Zealand Nursing Council A master's degree (with prescribing component) Specialty knowledge and practice expertise in both an autonomous and collaborative setting Experience working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
