We are looking for a team player who is committed to our team's success in providing outstanding care for all our patients. We are offering around 28 hours a week at a very competitive rate. About Greers Road Medical Centre Greers Road Medical Centre is a Practice Clinic that operated Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. We have approximately 6,000 patients. With a small and caring team, we provide excellent General Practice Services to our community.
About the position Our Nurse Practitioner plays a vital part in the day-to-day operation of our clinic, reporting to our Medical Director, , you will be responsible for ensuring proper triage and patient care.
Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs.Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within the scope of practice
Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication, medication regimens, side effects and interactionsSupport patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles, and apply principles of self-careFollow-up arrangements for casual patients should be with the patient's own GP unless particular urgent care expertise is required e.g.: X-Ray, complex wound management, fracture management, IVI treatment of cellulitis
You will need to have: Current registration as a nurse Practitioner or Passed Nursing Council evaluation to become a Nurse PractitionerAdvanced experience in Acute NursingGeneral Practice and Urgent Care nursing experience is desirable
Current Indemnity Insurance (NZNO Registration)- Preferable
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
Awareness of ACC and PHCBeing familiar with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) would be an advantageSomeone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Maori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.If this challenge sounds like something you would enjoy then we'd love to hear from you.
