Experience being part of a vibrant learning community in one of New Zealand's top tertiary institutes.  An opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time position teaching in the undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing programme at the Tairawhiti campus for a Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate. The successful applicant will teach specific subjects in the Bachelor of Nursing facilitating the learning process through a wide variety of planned learning experiences. They will participate in ongoing curriculum development and the development of course materials and will also contribute to the ongoing development of teaching and learning in the online platform with the opportunity to seek out professional development opportunities. A Masters of Nursing or equivalent is desirable but applicants who are working towards a Masters Degree will be considered.  Key Responsibilities for the role include: Akonga / Student Learning - teach specific subjects in the Undergraduate Nursing/Health Science Programmes Teamwork - the successful applicant will work in a small team who works closely with the larger team in Hawke's Bay.  Contribute to ongoing development of teaching and learning in the online platform Seek out professional development opportunities to keep abreast of online teaching and Participate in the ongoing curriculum development for the Undergraduate Nursing and Health Science Programmes as appropriate Participate in the promotion and marketing of the undergraduate nursing programmes at EIT Te Pukenga. Our Ideal Candidate Wide range and up-to-date nursing practice experiences, essential. Tertiary teaching experience in nursing, desired. Knowledge of the Nursing Council of New Zealand Competency requirements for the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, essential. Sound knowledge, and application, of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in teaching, desired. An understanding of Kawa Whakaruruhau and current approaches to cultural safety in the delivery of learning, required. Highly developed oral, written, computing and interpersonal skills, essential. Proven organisational and planning skills, essential. Curriculum development experience, desired. High degree of professional judgement and integrity. Friendly and approachable manner. Flexible and responsive approach. Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and holds a current annual practicing certificate, required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Science or a related area, required.
