We are currently looking for a Night Operations Supervisor to manage the transport at our Auckland Site. The Night Operations Supervisor is to effectively and efficiently manage the transportation operations in accordance with Linfox policies, legislative obligations and customer requirements. The role ensures site operations complete all deliveries to designated customers, in line with safety and customer expectations. You will take the lead in introducing innovation in processes and equipment within the contract and work to ensure maximum payloads are achieved to deliver acceptable commercial returns while adhering to all OH&S and legislative requirements, so the you must be a proven self-starter.
You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in transport and/or transportation industry along with sound staff management experience including negotiation and communication skills preferably in the logistics industry.
Reporting to the Auckland FMCG Transport Operations Manager you will be responsible for supervising the team to consistently provide high quality, error free dispatch service to the Customer (both internal and external) and run an efficient and compliant site operation.
We need someone who has:
Ideally you will have a knowledge of vehicle loading - axle weight distribution, dangerous goods etc. although this is not essential. Previous experience in general freight loading, store person, supervisory and/or despatching would be an advantage. Class 5 licence would be an advantage, not necessary.
Our ideal candidate is reliable and committed, with patience, integrity and a willingness to learn. Your sound knowledge of HR and HS practices will serve you well in this role.

Hours of work are 50 hours per week between Monday to Friday 1800 to 0430 hours.
