We are seeking a Network Technical Safety Engineer who has an analytical approach and a keen interest in Health & Safety. The successful candidate will ensure that Top Energy complies with industry regulations minimising safety risks to Top Energy staff, contractors, and the public.This position reports to the General Manager Network and is based at our Kerikeri office.Key areas of focus will be:Advise and liaise with Network and Contracting General Managers to establish, monitor and achieve team safety objectivesDay to day coordination and development of the Public Safety Management SystemAttend operations and project meetings providing support and guidance on technical safety mattersManage all network risks, ensuring effective and compliant controls are in place and monitoredProvide technical guidance and training on the application and use of all network risk controlsLead the development of approved practices and procedures for working safely on our network including LV permittingManage the release of all Network related Safety AlertsUndertake process and safety audits, while reviewing all network related inspection and audit results to identify recurring risks and required remedial actionsKeep the business informed of pending changes to electrical safety regulations or rules and initiatives underway in the industrySupport the Group Safety & Risk Manager with the development of the annual Group H&S Plan and work programmeAssist with providing network input for weekly and monthly H&S ReportingTo succeed in this role, you will have a relevant electrical qualification, and have at least 5 years' industry experience.
