Auckland City, AucklandTop Energy has operations throughout the Far North. The Company is owned by a power consumer trust and employs staff in Geothermal Generation and Electricity Distribution.We are currently seeking a Network Field Operator to join our Network Division, who can provide Top Energy with a Public Safety interface, first response for faults and field operations, and provide Network Controller roster cover for the Top Energy Control Center.This position will report to the Control Centre Manager and will be mainly field based.Key areas of focus will be:Assist with creating a Safety Culture through responding promptly and dealing appropriately with first response call outsAssist with achieving Network reliability and profitability objectives through appropriate response and analysis of Top Energy assetsTo carry out planned and unplanned Field and Substation operations and fault finding and restoration on the Top Energy NetworkTo carry out Fault Investigations and Line Patrols, and provide fault analysis and information to assist in the improvement of Network performanceTo undertake planned asset inspections of Top Energy Network line and substation assetsTo succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of five years' electrical industry experience and hold qualifications as an Electrician Technician, HV Fitter or Line Mechanic/Inspector. It is essential that you hold a current clean Full Drivers Licence and are competent at operating a Field Data Capture and GPS device. You will have experience working around live electrical distribution systems, and it will be an advantage if you have worked on overhead distribution power systems and within transmission substations.Additional skills and attributes you will have:Strong health and safety focusAttention to detailStrong communication (written and verbal)Customer service focusStrong problem solvingPrioritises tasks effectivelyTeam playerGood level of physical fitnessWe have a Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
