We are currently recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to facilitate security , reporting and inter- agency cooperation for our client.This is a critical role with varying daily challenges-. There are two Regional Security Officers (based in AKL and WEL) that report to this role.Key responsibilities:Lead the team by providing operational adviceGuide the direction of the team consistent with the companies vision and valuesAccountable for the Health & Safety performance within the business unitDirect all operational aspects of the business unitAnalysis current process and plans to ensure continuous business and performance improvementsMonitor Business Unit to ensure financial controlThe Business unit adheres to the clients/sites contractual obligationsThe NSO's responsibilities will include:Engagement with and management of physical security enhancements and security platforms across New Zealand community centres in AKL, WEL, CHC, DUN, and NELManagement of national security platforms (video surveillance, access control etc) including training, as well as management of support and maintenance contract with the providerManagement and leadership of Regional Security OfficersEngagement with the client for any required national roll-out of security enhancementsManagement and training of professional security guards at the sites around New ZealandRecruitment, regular training, and ongoing management of the volunteers via the Regional Security OfficersAdvising and training members of communities and organizations on all aspects of securityUndertaking security risk assessments and providing recommendations to improve security locally and around New ZealandThe refinement and development of standard day-to-day policies and operating procedures for community facilitiesLiaising with law enforcement agencies and other related agencies and services at a national levelThe assessment, development and management of community-wide crisis management and response plans in conjunction with government emergency servicesEnsuring that all security plans are reviewed annually, are kept current and up-to-date, and are distributed to the appropriate personsManaging protective operations for routine security for centres and and major events and managing the recording and reportingMonthly and ( when needed ) reporting to the BoardMaking recommendations on funding needs for improving securityArranging an annual seminar programme for personnel and other community leadership groups for them to be updated on the latest security trends and risksIn order to apply, you must have :Operations Management experience (Security license advantageous)Proven ability to lead team/sHigh level of ethicsGovernment level and professional training in security/protection of embassies, facilities and peopleMartial arts expertisePrevious experience working for security companies and/or government or agencies in protection of facilities and people, with relevant experience in security and protocols planning and execution5 + years of security management experienceThis is a full-time, professional position with an annual salary that is commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications.In order to apply, please send your resume, for a confidential chat or discussion .Note : You must be a NZ resident or Citizen .#J-18808-Ljbffr
