Our OpportunityWe are looking for a National Quality Manager to join either our Mt Maunganui or Christchurch milling site team on a permanent full-time basis. Key responsibilities:Providing direction to the Milling and Mixing sites regarding Quality framework.Provide leadership and direction to the Milling and Mixing Quality teams. Develop and implement Quality strategic plan.Drive and Support HACCP and GMP initiatives, innovation culture and continuous improvement opportunities.Ensure all customer complaints and major incidents are investigated on tome and responded to in a professional manner. Ensure all corrective actions are implemented from investigations. Maintain food safety program based on HACCP principles. Assist and manage the operational implementation of Quality Management Systems, Food safety systems and Occupational Health and Safety system for Milling and Mixing sites. Maintain hygiene/GMP standards to acceptable level for area of responsibility. Provide up to date information to the leadership team on all legislative requirements on quality related matters. Ensure product release control systems is in place and followed to ensure products are delivered to customers within agreed specification. Measurement of quality performance (specifically complaints relating to product conformance and the resultant corrective action). Ensure quality team employees are engaged and motivated. To be successful in your application, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Food Technology, Cereal Chemistry, Microbiology or Biochemistry or other quality assurance related discipline. Qualified as a Food Safety/Quality Systems auditor will be preferred. Experience gained through work in the food manufacturing industry implementing or maintaining a QA system. At least 10+ years as Quality Manager Experience with BRC, YUM!, AIB and other retail certifications Demonstrated experience in dealing with complex multi-site operations. Excellent inter-personal skills. Strategic thinking and implementation skill.
