Fastway Couriers New ZealandTransport Linehaul Limited (TLL) provides specialist linehaul services throughout New Zealand to the Aramex Courier network, a global leader in logistic and transportation solutions.
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and professional Logistics Coordinator to join our busy operational team managing the national linehaul network.
This is a pivotal role managing all aspects of the linehaul operation, ensuring the nightly operation of the business meets all objectives and requirements efficiently and to budget. As the National Logistics Coordinator, you will be a key member of the team who will contribute ideas to the Company business plan, and more importantly, lead on many of the initiatives that are required for implementation.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Communicating with all Company staff, contractors and drivers to make sure the operation runs smoothly and on time
Ensuring all Hub operations are managed within the Company policies and procedures
Ensuring compliance with all WorkSafe requirements and Health and Safety policies
Ensuring all suppliers meet our operational requirements and health and safety policies
Completing daily operational summary reports and ensuring all Hub operations submit a daily report.
About you
You will be results driven and an ambitious, naturally competitive individual. As this role will involve travel to our transport Hubs nationwide, you must be a great communicator, with the ability to develop effective relationships. You will have experience managing large and diverse teams and be able to multitask to get the job done.
While a tertiary qualification is desirable, extensive experience in a transport and logistics setting is a must.
This is both a hands on and a strategic position, and the successful applicant will be experienced, self-motivated and be able to make a real difference in our linehaul business.
