National Inventory Planner

We are looking for an experienced inventory planner to join our Roll Forming Head Office in Auckland in a fixed term (12 months) position to take a leading role in improving our inventory management systems and processes throughout our national operations. This fixed term opportunity will report to our National Logistics Manager and will have a strong focus on continuous improvement.
About the Opportunity
You will ensure Steel & Tube's Roll Forming supply chain operates cost effectively and efficiently via strong inventory management planning, timely product purchasing and robust stock control while maintaining inventory value within Roll Forming within approved guidelines.
You will have full accountability for national approval of daily procurement and purchasing decisions and play a vital part in ensuring growth and profit for Steel & Tube. You will effectively communicate with branch operations teams to ensure stock is accurately and efficiently received and recorded prior to being further processed and dispatched to customers.
The position has a continuous improvement focus and is expected to regularly monitor and analyse Steel & Tube's inventory planning and stock control systems to derive strategies that enhance performance.
Who we are looking for:
Experience gained within the steel industry as well as familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be advantageous but not essential.
