My client is well established in the heavy hire & machinery sector in New Zealand. After further growth they are now looking to expand their team by bringing on board a customer focused National Operations Manager.
You will oversea daily operations within the business, managing the Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch branches, with a total of 28 direct reports.
This role will appeal to an experienced and highly capable Operations Manager with the skills and expertise to take on this senior role - reporting in to the General Manager.
Responsibilities: Hands on leadership of the national operations teams Ensure customers receive exceptional service through close management and ongoing improvement to operations and company proceduresStaff leadership and human resources - management, support, training, staff reviews and disciplinary proceduresActive involvement in health & safety - ensuring processes and policies are kept updated and followed by all employeesAll senior management administrative requirements Improving process & implementing new procedures - including championing IT & CRM systems About you: You are a proven operations management professional with experience managing hire or fleet vehicles - being either heavy hire / machinery / trucks or carsYou are willing to travel nationally on occasion (approximately once per month) to provide training at branch levelYour background demonstrates achievements which have resulted in ongoing growth and significant operational improvements for your employers to dateYou are keen to secure a senior role, reporting in to the GM & sitting with the SLT teamYou are a passionate advocate for health and safety - ensuring compliance and a commitment to a workplace culture of zero harmStrong administrative/computer skills are essentialBenefits:
