We were proud to be nominated for The Gap Innovation Award in 2023.The roleOur clients include individuals, businesses, iwi and hapu organisations, family, farming, and Ahu Whenua trusts located in the Bay of Plenty and beyond.You'll have your own client base to manage, with a diverse mix of client sizes and entity types. You'll work to develop a strong relationship with each client, and become a trusted advisor. Your work will include:Overseeing production of annual accounts and tax returnsProviding business growth advice to clientsPreparing cashflow forecasts and management reportsPreparing financial statements and income tax returnsPreparing FBT, GST and PAYE returnsAssisting clients with Xero set up and queriesMentoring and supporting our junior team membersHelping us to develop and grow Ake through the ongoing refinement of our systems and technologyAbout youWe are looking for someone who will bring energy, experience and a commitment to delivering excellence. Attributes we're looking for are:Preferably a Chartered Accountant (however this is not essential)A minimum of 3 years in a public practiceStrong knowledge of the NZ tax systemConfident in using a range of software.
