At Counties Manukau Health we care about achieving health equity for our community. This means that all people will live longer healthier lives. Mental Health and Addictions is a key to population health and people's wellness that we are now more than ever focussed on connecting up with the wider health and social systems. Innovation and transformation to deliver more effective services and better outcomes for people, families and communities is our approach to achieving our goals.
As part of our on-going commitment to improve health outcomes for our community we are leading the way in developing an innovative new acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit based at Middlemore Hospital. This will support our service users and their family/whaanau, who require an inpatient stay for the treatment of mental health issues. Our new inpatient unit is the first of its kind in New Zealand and is equipped to assist us with providing better care for our community. Our new building maximizes natural light and has safe inner garden courtyards and therapeutic areas and is the largest inpatient unit in the region.
We have an exciting opportunity for a MOSS to join our team. If you are interested in creative treatment planning, working with families/whaanau, and participating in the development of recovery-oriented interventions that are culturally relevant to our service users, their families, and their communities then take the opportunity to come and be part of our Mental & Addictions Health Services workforce that is value driven, engaged and supported.
