Details of the offer

Our customer is one of the largest manufacturers of frequency control products and timing solutions. Their products can be found at the heart of many applications, from 5G networks to satellites and from emergency beacons to autonomous vehicles.
We are looking for a talented engineer to provide technical engineering design, development and support to all Microfabrication (XMEMs) activities ranging from leading knowledge development, product development implementations, process development and implementation/optimisation through to manufacturing improvements, production release of both equipment and processes, along with supporting the general XMEMs production environment.
Some duties may include:
Contribute to the development & implementation of microfabrication processes and methods that support the introductions of new micro-fabricated resonator products into the business.Contribute to, implement and support capacity expansion activities required for the commercialisation and growth of new microfabrication products and processes.Provide process engineering and technical support to production. Participating in, and leading development & improvement activities.Provide technical input and support into capacity expansion activities required for the commercialisation and growth of new microfabrication products and processes.Provide technical support to programme, engineering and technical managers to ensure that processes and products are manufacturable with high yields and low manufacturing costs.Microfabrication process innovations targeted at improving capability and cost efficiencyConceptualise and champion changes in production processes and methods to achieve improvements in yield, efficiency and quality.To produce equipment and process operational documentation in accordance with Rakon standards and ISO9001 and TS16949 quality proceduresComply with Rakon's quality, environmental and health and safety procedures as well as to make suggestions and recommendations for improvement where deemed necessary.Collaborate effectively within the team & cross-functional teams within the NZ BU and globally. Always work to demonstrate and encourage behaviour's in alignment with company values in all interactions.In order to be successfull, you will ideally have:
Experience in microfabrication processingFamiliarity technology with advanced developments in microfabrication and relevant fieldsExperience with thin film deposition, photolithography and wet etch processing.Previous experience in a manufacturing environmentPrevious experience in microfabrication environmentFundamental physics chemistry and materials knowledgeOur recruiter Jose Delgado is a former electrical engineer with experience in research and development within different areas – he's happy to provide support for relevant questions that may arise about the role and the company.
