We are on the hunt for aMerchandise Liaison Leaddedicated to our growth in the NZ market!About the role:This pivotal role will be our first Merchandise Lead based in New Zealand, reporting to the General Manager of Merchandise, you will be well supported by the Australian Merchandise Team to grow a greater intimacy within the New Zealand market including; suppliers, competitors, our store network and new offerings to support our NZ family needs. Whilst also partnering closely with the NZ based Regional Manager.Key deliverables:Build relationships with NZ local and major suppliers.Identifying products, ranges, and brands that our customers will drool over.Research merchandise trends, product history, competitor activity and product ranging.Work with our Aus team in developing marketing programs.Negotiations with suppliers on supplier support .Review NZ store sales, GP% performance and opportunities.Working with stores and visual merchandise layouts.Support promotions and pricing points for blowout sale events.About you:Proven experience in Merchandise BuyingEnjoyment working in a fast paced, multi-channel environmentStrong forecasting and financial acumen, with the ability to understand data and act on market trends/store demandsExperience with Microsoft, Excel, and Power BIYou will also be rewarded with benefits like these:We're making the most of flexible working, driving strong collaboration and supporting our teams virtually and flexibly - work 2 days from home.
