MentalHealth and Addiction Services are seeking applications from psychiatrists whowould be interested in working in the rural health setting across teams thatinclude inpatient, Adult Community, Crisis, Alcohol and other Drugs and ChildAdolescent Mental Health. The exact range of clinical responsibilities will benegotiated in regard to your experience, interests and the Service needs.
Considerationwould also be given to applications from Senior Medical Officers/non trainingRegistrars depending on prior mental health experience.
Thedevelopment of integrated rural specialties services across the Coast with apopulation of approximately32,000 people creates opportunities not available inbigger urban centres. This is also an exciting time to join our team as work iswell under way with the planning of a new build to house community teams and aninpatient unit at our central location of Greymouth.
Wehave systems in place to support collegial relationships and professionaldevelopment, and we're always keen to explore new ideas. We have regionalsupport for sub-specialities such as Regional Forensics & Eating Disorders
