Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled, passionate and enthusiastic Media and Communications Officer to join the OFC team at our Head Office in Auckland, New Zealand. Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, you'll take charge of telling the stories of the social responsibility work being done by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), its Member Associations and donors. You will help showcase the impact and positive outcomes being achieved. About Us Responsible for the development and organisation of football across the South Pacific, the OFC is currently made up of 11 Member Associations and 2 Associate Members, which it supports through a variety of means. As well as organising regional qualifiers for all FIFA World Cup tournaments, the OFC provides educational expertise to help guide the development of football across all levels from grassroots to elite, while also catering for a range of different roles from coaches and referees to sports administrators. About the Role The right candidate will be an excellent writer who is comfortable working to deadlines and in a team environment You'll also need to have marketing skills and a solid grasp of the ever-evolving world of social media. Photography/Videography skills are a bonus. A love of working with people from different cultures and backgrounds is a must, and occasional travel will be part of this role. You'll have a proven track record of: Published writing, past journalism, marketing or comms/PR work, experience dealing with agencies, understanding of social media and ability to write compelling stories. A relevant qualification in a journalism /marketing or a communications-related discipline is preferred, but not essential. Some overseas travel will be required.
