Tahu FM, the only Iwi Radio Station in Te Waipounamu, are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Media Broadcasters to join our team and the wider iwi organisation. This is an exciting position with an opportunity to turn your passion for te reo and entertaining into a career that will enrich the lives of current and future generations of Ngai Tahu whanau.
We are looking for (2) two Media Broadcasters (on-air announcers) to cover leave for a period of (1) one year. We are looking for two creatives that have a passion for radio and connecting with whanau through multiple platforms.
We are looking for passionate individuals with: Past experience in radio, media and journalismKnowledge and understanding of te reo Maori and a willingness to learn and advance in this areaExceptional time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a complex environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven relationship management skillsThrive in a team of creativesFamiliarity with the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to the work of Te Runanga o Ngai TahuA passion to work and engage with Papatipu Runanga and Ngai Tahu whanauThe successful applicants will have a strong affinity for the needs and aspirations of Ngai Tahu Whanui. Alongside this, they will have an understanding of, or an eagerness to, learn and engage with Ngai Tahu values and te reo Maori.
