Job Description Talley's Blenheim branch has vacancies for Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson and Technicians at our Land Based plant to assist in mechanical engineering research, design, manufacture, construction, operation and maintenance of machines, manufacturing equipment, mechanical installations and facilities. This site services the Shellfish operation.
This is a full-time role, rostered, with a minimum of 40 hours each week.
You will work within a diverse and constantly changing operating environment, providing day-to-day maintenance at our Blenheim plant with a mix of reactive and proactive maintenance.
Be part of this established and growing Maintenance team, maintaining the production machinery as well as installing and commissioning new plant and equipment as it is added. You will become part of a small but skilled team who strive to deliver a high standard of workmanship and skillset.

Based on your experience and qualifications , your hourly rate will range from $35 - $50 Qualifications Qualifications and Experience You will need: To be a Trade Certified Fitter/Turner/Welder, or Level 2. Minimum 4 years Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food production and/or relevant work experience and proven successes In Preventative and Reactive maintenance An eye for detail and identifying areas for Improvement Good time management, organisational skills and enthusiasm for getting it right Impeccable communication skills Proven Health and Safety practices as a daily priority Advance knowledge in the following would be beneficial: Project work, new installations, commission, etc, all an advantage Experience and/or qualifications with ammonia refrigeration and coal-fired boilers would also be advantageous 5 years plus Additional Information Why choose Talley's With multiple operations within Talley's, there's always opportunities available for growth and progression.
