We are looking for an experienced full-time Department Managers to join our management team within our busy restaurants. Due to our opening hours, applicants for this role would have to be prepared to work variable rosters which include some weekend, night, and overnight work. Position title: multiple Department Manager positions for our two restaurants based at McDonald's Silverdale (65 Goldwater Drive, Silverdale) and McDonald's Orewa (376 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa) – both on the sunny Hibiscus Coast. Check out the sea views from McDonald's Orewa! Pay range for position: Minimum guaranteed hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week Employment Type: Permanent, full-time. Responsibilities: In addition to assisting with shift management, Department Managers develop specialised expertise in the areas of Product and Quality Management, Customer Experience Management and People Performance Management. Overall responsibilities include: Delivering outstanding QSC, sales, people practices and profit on shifts and ensuring every customer has a memorable McDonald's experience. Supervising employees to ensure that restaurant operations and procedures are adhered to. Engaging with Crew and fellow managers to deliver great business outcomes by bringing the Macca's experience to life on each and every shift. Build a customer experience with everyone coming in – make this a memorable visit! Helping the restaurant manager in complying with all safety and security standards which includes investigating all incidents and taking corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and customers. Ensuring the restaurant is appropriately staffed with well-trained and happy staff. Ensuring the restaurant is stocked with sufficient product and that the kitchen is operating effectively to serve gold standard food, to every customer. (A detailed job description is available upon request) Qualifications/experience: To be considered for a Department Manager role applicants should have at least two years' experience at shift supervisor level with a fast-food production environment. Desired personal attributes: We are looking for motivated reliable staff that have great leadership attributes, a strength and passion for customer service, good literacy and computer skills and a willingness to learn and progress through our traineeship pathway.
