Job Description About the role This senior role reports directly to the Site Manager and is responsible for ensuring end to end management of materials and related operations for the entire Tomoana site. Functions covered include material and production scheduling, material receiving, storage, picking and inventory management as well as rework or disposal of non-compliant finished product. The incumbent will partner with stake holders in the leadership and implementation of process improvement initiatives (as per the Kraft Heinz Manufacturing Playbooks) and promote a performance-based culture that encourages continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. This position is based in Tomoana. About you Continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence in the following key areas: Quality & Safety performance, with a focus on: Leadership in the implementation of the Q-RMP (Quality Risk Management Process) to achieve ever reducing levels of risk. Improvement in operational procedures to ensure inventory is handled and stored safely as per best practice and regulatory requirements. Compliance with all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory requirements and Kraft Heinz Global Operational Risk Management (ORM) policies and procedures. Operational cost performance, including optimization of production schedules for all 19 production lines. This includes: Implementation of run strategies to deliver best possible sequencing and highest recovery at the lowest possible cost. Maximized run length and minimized changeover time. Excellence in materials management including removal of material constraints to facilitate optimal use of plant resources. Customer Service performance with a focus on material management and inventory accuracy including: Refining and standardizing best practice inventory management in all material warehouses across the site. Minimizing inventory holding costs, while fully meeting all optimized production scheduling requirements. Elimination of SLOB materials and write offs. What you bring: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar or related role, preferably in a food-manufacturing environment. A proven track record of results and continuous improvement in manufacturing or related roles. Experience in leading significant changes and successfully managing teams within a complex manufacturing or related environment. A never say die attitude when it comes to problem solving and delivery of critical targets set by the business. Think and act like an owner with a “can do” approach accompanied by positive and urgent behaviour. Strong people management skills including motivational, coaching and staff development. Deliver on what you say you’ll do, always maintaining a high level of integrity. Self-motivated and a team player. Strong analytical, problem solving and numeracy skills. Excellent understanding of financial metrics and high level of computer literacy. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field preferred (for example Technology, Science, Engineering, Business Management).
